2021 West Kentucky Innovation Challenge
The West Kentucky Innovation Challenge is a regional competition that supports local innovators developing solutions that address challenges facing businesses and individuals in active industries in rural communities. A first of its kind, the Challenge provides rural innovators access to experts and the methods they use to rapidly develop software products that are engineered to solve customers' problems without excessive time-to-market and costs. Governor's Conference on Energy & the Environment – October 13-14, 2020

This year's event focuses on the interplay of energy and environmental issues within economic development. Attendees will hear about a wide variety of topics, including economic development opportunities within sustainable agriculture, Kentucky's business outlook, brownfield redevelopment potential, renewable energy procurement, energy affordability, environmental justice, and regulatory and policy updates from EEC leadership.
Business leaders, interested citizens, non-profits, and academia are encouraged to attend.
LAND Forums
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers present the annual LAND (Linking Agriculture for Networking & Development) forums. These forums are intended to bolster existing collaboration between agriculture and manufacturing to develop and expand upon the existing supply chain for agricultural product to the manufacturing sector. The LAND forums are intended for manufacturers, agricultural leaders, economic development professionals, local and state officials, academia, and other stakeholders.
